Wanderer Issue 8
Wanderer Magazine, in short, is a celebration of creative youth manifested in their independently printed and published magazine as well as their online presence and curated events. It is a platform for emerging and established creatives to share the real life moments of what it means to lead a life of doing what they love. They are independently run and operate out of Thirroul, NSW on Dharawal Country.
PERSPECTIVE is our latest print issue of Wanderer Magazine, also our proudest!
We’ve been working on this guy for quite some time after a little break to go see the world, then the work that it takes to do that left us a little space to create. But we are back with a new brand new PERSPECTIVE. Issue Eight is a 120 page love letter to our trip to America.
Issue eight as I’m sure you’ve already gathered by now has less of that Australiana type feel throughout the pages as it usually would. This issue carries a weight of louder traffic, busier streets and taller buildings. Perspective, came to me as I was walking through the streets of New York just so intrigued by the people who inhabited it. It has this strange sense of familiarity that’s been ingrained into you without your awareness. I would have this constant inner dialogue with myself based on “If I grew up here, would I still be me, or has living and growing up in Australia moulded me into who I am… Like what if I grew up somewhere completely different…”. So this issue came to fruition because of my own curiosity, where we got to chat with people (who all live in America) about how their environments may affect how they perceive things and how it affects their creative processes and practices.
