Broken Fingaz
Broken Fingaz (BFC) is a psycho-pop collective of four young Israelis from Haifa. BFC began in 2001 as graffiti artists, but soon became internationally active in multiple disciplines: street art, animation, installation, painting, murals, and graphics. With their unique visual style – a mix of skateboard visuals, pulp comics, B-movies, and neo-psychedelics – they breach the wall between the so-called High Arts and popular culture.
This first monograph details some of Broken Fingaz's most ambitious and provocative projects to date, charting the evolution of their visual style and their unique, collaborative approach to art-making.
They have a worldwide fan base and have produced artwork for, among others, U2, Beck, Pearl Jam, and Blink 182. BFC has participated in group shows at the Saatchi Gallery London ('Alchemy', 'Jealous Needs You') and 'Beyond the Streets' in New York. They have already published limited edition fanzines, which sell out immediately. This is the first monograph on their work.
Rich with more than 200 images, never-seen-before documentation, plus personal stories from the road by the crew and friends, this book is a multi-faceted exploration that gives an unprecedented insight into the Broken Fingaz’s pioneering practice.
