  • Savilian
  • Beat Theory
  • Rūku
  • DJ Ryan Marshall

Hailing from the Central Coast and one of Newcastle's hottest exports Dawn Laird is an exciting independent emcee and producer who packs a punch. LoBrow you better be ready…. Dawn Laird’s sound is heavily inspired by soul, big band, boom bap and the likes of Erykah Badu, Company Flow, J. Cole, and Australian pioneers Def Wish Cast.

With the release of her debut single ‘Eva’, DL catapulted onto the national scene in 2013. A rich, piano heavy, lo-fi monologue, ‘Eva’ was well received, gaining air play on Triple J Unearthed and community radios. Her follow up releases ‘Mel Blanc (I’m Fucked)’, ‘Badlands’ and ‘Atlas’ went on to receive similar praise and have established DL a substantial and dedicated following.

After winning the Groovin the Moo creative workshop with Seth Sentry and gigging consistently on the east coast of Australia in 2014 and 2015, DL has supported national heavyweights Mantra, Dialectrix, Sky’High, Ciecmate and The Last Kinection, just to name just a few.

Her uninhibited, rapid fire delivery and charismatic live presence have been praised by The Brag’s James Ross, while anticipation for her debut EP has been proclaimed by Triple J announcers Hau Latukefu and Steph Hughes.

2016 sees the release of her debut solo EP ‘Third Circle Raps’. Stay tuned!!!

Beat Theory are a dynamic hip hop act known for their energetic live show with a versatile range of styles and topics leaving no rock unturned. The duo coming together in 2008 and consisting of emcees Scarecrow and Mr Nat.

Both Scarecrow and Mr Nat have developed their own identities within the Australian hip hop scene and as emcees in their own individual rights. After taking a little time out as a duo the emcees have remained active working on own projects. With Mr Nat finishing an album with the group ‘Reverse Psychology’ and punching out the release of his “5 Foot Nothing”. Whilst Scarecrow releasing ‘A Day In the Life Mixtape’ with fellow emcee The Profit and dropping his solo project know affectionally as the ‘Crowlaborations’ Vol.1.

After re-joining forces, hitting the studio and releasing their “Crossroads Mixtape” in 2013, Beat Theory continued to stay busy with their follow up and much anticipated the second volume “Crossroads Mixtape Pt.2” in 2014. Taking Beat Theory to stages alongside hip hop heavyweights such as R.A. The Rugged Man, Thundamentals, Reason, Briggs, K21, Chance Waters, Ceicmate & Newsense and many more.

Currently touring the east cost of Australia, its time for Canberra to get itself acquainted with the ghoulish new 'Poltergeist EP’ from Savilian. His new collaborative EP with young FutureBass producer Kuren and is a sign of tings to come.

Based in Newton Sydney, Savilian’s hip hop brand is characterised by a balanced blend of organic and electronic based musical vibes. With witty sharp and punch line fuelled writing styles and a charismatic, energetic and engaging live show.

2013 saw Savilian things ramping up with a standout performance at the Big Day Out in Sydney and has since graced many a stage with some of Australia’s biggest hip hip names including Pez, Seth Sentry, Diafrix, Spit Syndicate, Harjot Singh and many many more.

With 4 solo release’s under his belt and a variety of collaborations and features to his name Salivian has kept well active from 2009 to the present, its safe to say that he is no stranger to the microphone and getting a crowd up out of their seats no matter what the occasion.

With guest emcee performance from Rūku and turntables sets from DJ Ryan Marshall (SYD).

So your out there looking for Rūku? i think your best bet would be behind the keys of his laptop, punching out beats and writing emotionally charged and sophistically eloquent songs.

Only 12 months into his music career, due to his creativity and presence. Ruku has made some very powerful allies in the ever demanding worlds of Hip-Hop and EDM. His debut Mixtape 'Lotus Hiatus' is due for release in late March of 2016.
